Speaker: Sarah French, N.P. Sarah French is a Nurse Practitioner who has worked at Stanford University since 1988, and with research at Stanford with Healthy Aging. Prior to working at Stanford she was working at a private practice in Palo Alto. Graduated from Indiana University and has been a nurse practitioner since 1981. At Stanford she was the co-developer of Moving Into Midlife Series at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation. For more information, visit Peninsula Stroke Association. Music at the Library: Kenny Blackwell & Dorian Michael - 6/25

Mandolinist Kenny Blackwell studied with Jethro Burns before moving to California where he joined fiddler Richard Green’s band in ‘93. His mandolin and guitar work have been heard in TV and movie scores, and since ‘94, he has been a constant member of the famed Laurel Canyon Ramblers. Guitarist Dorian Michael has played in about every style and in every type of work situation a blue collar musician could hope for. After Kenny and Dorian met by chance several times in San Luis Obispo, they decided it was time to play some music together. Says Dorian, “Some music makes you feel deeply, some music makes you think and some tunes are played just for the sheer fun of it. We like to try to get to all those places in the space of a concert.”
